John Dory Recipe and Calories
One very healthy fish that is often over looked when it comes to cooking is the John Dory. This Mediterranean fish is amazing tasting, very, very healthy – but there seem to be few recipes available on the net with regards how to cook it – and next to none that are healthy (all seem to involve double cream somewhere in their ingredients list).
Well that sort of John Dory recipe is no good for those of us trying to get slim and lose our belly …

High Protein Cereals
One of the most important meals that anyone can have is breakfast – which is why high protein cereals are vital. We know that breakfast is often referred to as the most important meal of the day, and with good reason. Breakfast is what kick starts our metabolism and makes it less likely we will be picking at food throughout the day.
Unfortunately for us not just any old breakfast will do. It still needs to be healthy. The problem is that a lot of …

Grilled Swordfish
I have to say one of my favourites cuts of fish is swordfish steak. A great grilled swordfish steak is an amazing taste – though there are also plenty of lovely fried or baked options for swordfish as well.
It is the sort of fish that tastes great with almost anything. But one of my favourite dishes is the grilled lemon and soy sauce steak. And even better is it very healthy.

Half a leek
1 small onion

Well I did it… I just joined weight watchers – as far as I am concerned the place for old, overweight women. I know that is probably not the reality but it is the image I have in my head. Guess I will have a go at changing that tomorrow when I go to my first meeting!!!!
It was the other half that put me on to it. She wants to lose a little bit of weight (barely a couple of lb’s, the skinny wench) she put on over Christmas and …

High Protein Diet Side Effects
On the weight loss forum I mentioned that I am looking to start losing weight by means of a high protein diet. This is part of my beer belly challenge. the idea being that I can cut down both the calories and the fat intake that I use as part of my everyday diet, and so lose weight. more so the protein is more difficult to convert into fat so should be burned as energy easier – meaning my fatty deposits are less likely to grow.

Calories Fish and Chips
Fish and chips are hugely popular, especially in the United Kingdom where it is almost the national dish. Thick chips and cod in batter, both deep fat fried, tend to lend themselves to being rather full of calories – which is why many fans of the meal wonder how many calories there are in fish and chips.
Obviously there are ways of reducing the calorific value of the meal. Grilling rather than frying, not using batter on the fish, or at least different ingredients in the …
