Lose My Beer Gut

To lose my beer gut is going to take a lot of work. You may remember I set myself a beer belly challenge awhile back? Well not only has it not worked I have managed to get myself back up in weight to well above where I want to be… and a big part of that is my belly, so I need to lose my beer belly gut.

It should come as no surprise – after all 6 months ago two of my closest mates took over a pub in Swansea. Since I moved to London most of my visits back (usually every few weeks) involved me staying at the pub – and so drinking beer, eating pork scratchings etc. Very obviously NOT the way to lose my beer gut.

Which means I am now in a position where my beer belly has gotten too big. I did a charity walk a few weeks back (well, less of a walk – I was driving the canal boats the walkers were sleeping on as the walk was over a week) and looking at the photo’s it is depressing just how bad I have let myself get.

Now I WILL Lose My Beer Gut

These photo’s have given me a new determination to lose the weight around my middle, to get myself into something approaching fighting fit. It has also led to me reconsidering what I am doing with this site.

I have decided to bring in some new bloggers. Whilst I know the theory of weight loss very well, and of exercise etc, I am not so good at putting it into practice. So to supplement my articles will be other bloggers who can not just talk the talk, but who have walked the walk.

I will be introducing them to you in a couple of weeks, at which point I also hope to put together some videos as well. But in the mean time I will be playing with the layout of the site and the forum, and seeing what we can do about making this a bit of a mecca for weight loss help.

Wish me good luck in my efforts to lose my beer gut – and please do make the new bloggers feel welcome.
